Bookish Buys: The Strand

Thursday, July 25, 2013
Each Friday I'll post a different collection of book nerd swag, from jewelry to action figures, that I find on the Internets. Please know that I am not getting reimbursed in any way, shape, or form if you choose to buy these items.

So on Tuesday I got to go to The Strand, an AMAZING bookstore in New York. (Amazing doesn't even begin to cover it, but I'm going to talk about it more this Sunday.) Thus, the theme of this week's Bookish Buys is The Strand!
Onto the Buys...
Tote Bag: Keep Calm Red
Keep Calm and Read On
I may have gotten this in magnet form...

I love this journal's vintage feel. (Oh, and it's eco-friendly.)

Stylish and bookish.

What's your favorite bookstore?

    1. I haven't read that- it's by Levithan and Cohn, right?

  2. I adore that shirt! It would make lovely motivation to finally get around to reading the book, yes?

  3. You came to visit and didn't tell me? :( I'm saddened by this but glad you know where the good stuff is. Did you go to Books of Wonder?

Hope you had a fun visit! The Strand is so so dangerous for us crazy readers!

    1. Don't worry- I'm always game for another trip to the city! :) I did go to Books of Wonder and LOVED it. I spent about 10 minutes ogling the signed copy of Prisoner of Azkaban they have there.

Thanks! It definitely is- thanks to the Strand I'm completely broke! haha

  4. I've been to The Strand once and they do have great gifts. I like the Keep Calm and Read On tote ! There is a chained used bookstore called 2nd & Charles that has some bookish gift items like Strands that I like to shop at.

    1. Isn't the tote adorable? I think they had it in mug form, too. :) 2nd & Charles sounds great!

  5. I really like Nicola's Bookstore in Ann Arbor. It's got a great selection of books and has lots of good author appearances.
