A Note on Comments

Thursday, May 2, 2013
Let me just say that I so greatly appreciate every single comment you leave on this blog. There is no better feeling than when you spend hours on a post and receive a truly thoughtful comment. Even with memes, which don't take as long to write, I am always so grateful to see that people took time out of their day to leave a comment.

My general policy when receiving comments is to reply to them. If you're a blogger, I go to your blog and leave a comment. If you're not a blogger, I reply on my own blog using the handy dandy "reply" button Blogger finally installed a few months ago.

Unfortunately, I haven't done a fantastic job of replying recently.

The gist of the reason why is this: I want to put out quality posts, while managing hours worth of homework and work for school activities, not to mention the hours spent at other activities and my job. So in the time I allot to blogging, I have to choose: Do I reply to the comments I just got on In My Mailbox, or do I write the post that needs to go up tomorrow? Naturally, the post wins.

That doesn't mean I won't reply to your comments. It will just take me a while. That means I could reply within 5 minutes of you posting a comment, or 5 weeks. But I will reply.

So thank you for your patience, your understanding, and, of course, your comments!

How do you deal with comments?

  1. I have a great idea. Why don't you do a mail bag post where you take the top comments/emails you receive and respond to them all at once?

P.S. How do you feel about the Animorph's series? I think it's better than Harry Potter. Sirius Black and Wormtail could only turn into 1 animal yet the Animorphs could turn into any animal they touched. Harry may have been able to ride a hippograph but no chance riding an Andalite. Also, Voldemort does not hold a candle to Visser 3.

  2. Really? It took Visser 3 like 50 books to become Visser 1 and that's only 2 positions. Voldemort never was the "Associate to He Who Must Not Be Named." He answers to no one.
