Top Ten Bookish Memories
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

1. Meeting J.K. Rowling
BEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE.
2. Meeting Robin Palmer
I'd read her books for years and then she came to my local library! She's incredibly sweet and cool. Also, she was the first author I ever interviewed, which is another exciting memory!
3. Meeting A.S. King
She is so awesome! And she liked my coat! She also boogied down some. ;
4. Reading The Boxcar Children for the first time.
I think I read my first TBC book in 1st grade. I'd always been a reader, but these books were different. I was completely and utterly immersed in a way I hadn't been before. (For the record, I read every TBC book my school's library had and I read/own about a 100 of them. haha)
5. Reading Harry Potter for the first time.
'Nuff said.
6. Receiving my first ARC for review.
I'd filled out a form to get an ARC of Starters by Lissa Price but didn't expect anything to come of it. (I probably only had about 40 followers at the time.) It showed up, a very pleasant surprise, and it really felt like I'd made it into the book blogging world!
7. Finishing my first book. (Not in the reading sense.)
I don't usually talk about my fictional writing, but I've actually written two books. (That will never see the light of day.) Finishing my first one was such a bittersweet, fulfilling moment.
8. Discovering the vlogbrothers videos!
DFTBA.
9. Getting a big box of books.
My cousin used to work at a publishing company, just when I was starting middle school. One day, she sent me a package filled with oodles of books. Best, most thoughtful surprise ever!
10. Discovering my signed copy of TFIOS has a Hanklerfish in it.
I did my own happy dance.

What are you best bookish memories?

  1. Reading Harry Potter is such a great memory! A lot of my bookish memories involve the series in some way, so I had to try and switch up my list and not include purely Harry Potter moments! And the vlogbrothers videos are awesome. There's no other way to describe them!
