13 Little Blue Envelopes (Little Blue Envelope, #1)
Maureen Johnson is one of my favorite authors. She's great for many reasons- her wit and her writing style are just two examples- but especially for the fact that many of her books are set abroad, and thus, fit in perfectly with Around the World in 30 Days!

13 Little Blue Envelopes is the story of Ginny, a girl who is sent off on a crazy trip across Europe. She goes almost everywhere- a little cafe in France, Harrods in London, a bakery in Rome, and many other places. After reading this, I became more determined than ever to backpack across Europe someday.

And... there's a sequel! Yep, Ginny goes back to Europe and has even more adventures and it's really awesome. HarperTeen has even made a little style guide based on the book, which I think is pretty cool. (And something that I'd definitely wear.)

The Name of the Star (Shades of London, #1)

Vacations from Hell
Girl at Sea
Another book I LOVE by Maureen Johnson is Girl at Sea. In this one, Clio gets stuck on a boat in the middle of the Mediterranean with her estranged father. The boat isn't exactly a cruise ship... but there is a cute boy, fun supporting characters, and a great story. It's pretty much a perfect summer read.

OR if you want to "travel" to England, you can always pick up The Name of the Star. Set in boarding school (even better, right?) this includes ghosts, mystery, and suspense.

Admittedly, I haven't read Vacations from Hell, but it's written by Maureen Johnson, Libba Bray, Cassandra Clare, and Sarah Mlynowski, so there's pretty much no way it can be anything but brilliant and hilarious. I definitely need to check that one out!

Do you love Maureen Johnson's books? Which would you recommend?
