Top Ten Authors I Would Love to Have At Thanksgiving Dinner
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

1. J.K. Rowling
J.K. Rowling
Who wouldn't want her as the guest of honor? She's probably one of my all time favorite authors.

2. John Green
Speaking of all time favorite authors, John Green is more than welcome to come share Turkey Day with me!

3. Robin Palmer
Robin Palmer
She's super nice and I really love her books!!! (:

4. Jane Austen
Jane Austen
Who cares if she's no longer alive? I probably have a better chance of having her come to Thanksgiving dinner than J.K. Rowling.

5. Suzanne Collins
Suzanne Collins
Apart from her incredible books, she just seems really cool!

6. James Dashner
James Dashner
He seems like one of the nicest authors ever. Plus, I want to talk to him about The Kill Order!

7. Laurie Halse Anderson
Laurie Halse Anderson
I follow her blog somewhat religiously, and I've read practically all of her books. She is just so smart and would definitely add a little something to table conversation.

8. Rick Riordan
Rick Riordan
I loved loved loved the Percy Jackson series, though I haven't read the new series of his. Besides having great conversations about Greek mythology, I want to talk to him about that Percy movie. As in, how he could let them butcher his wonderful book.

9. Lia Habel
Lia Habel
I fell in love with her book, Dearly, Departed and found out how awesome she is over the past few weeks! Seriously, she's really cool!

10. Libba Bray
Libba Bray
She's funny, a little bit crazy, super smart, generally awesome, etc., etc. I'd probably be too starstruck to say anything coherent to her, though.

Well, that's my list. Did anyone else have trouble keeping it to ten? There are so many authors I'd love to add, like Robin Benway and Neal Shusterman, and Sara Gruen, and William Shakespeare, and Ann Brashares, and Meg Cabot... the list goes on and on. Leave me a link to yours! (:

  1. It was so hard to come up with just ten. I wanted Libba Bray on my list too, but ran out of room. Here is my list http://wp.me/pzUn5-Gk
